A system that works for every WA Nationals MP.
Turn one electorate office into the proof-point for safer, faster, more useful party-wide digital infrastructure.
Why this needs to happen now
The Nationals WA already has the hardest part: a party CRM. The missing piece is the operating system around it.
Each MP's digital presence is being solved office-by-office with no shared data pathway. Bevan's office is ready to fix this — the blockage is administrative, not technical.
| Angle | ↓ Current | ↑ Pilot |
|---|---|---|
| Ownership | Separate admin jobs, no SOPs | Named owner + offboarding rule per layer |
| Data flows | Surveys don't consistently create VoterID records | Every touchpoint produces usable constituent data |
| Turnaround | DNS change takes days via party staff | Same-day, handled by electorate team |
| Visibility | Party sees pieces, not the full loop | Documented model from traffic to follow-up |
A closed-loop constituent pipeline
Not a better website in isolation — a cleaner flow of constituent intelligence into VoterID.
What each layer requires
| Website | DNS control for SSL, form handlers, subdomains — all currently in a request queue. |
| Meta | Documented access + pixel config so advertising and analytics are properly connected. |
| Surveys | Standard fields: name, location, issue, sentiment, opt-in, follow-up need. |
| VoterID | Clean import pathway so VoterID becomes a live picture, not a manually maintained database. |
| Governance | SOPs for ownership, access, offboarding, audit and continuity. |
Domain control in the electorate office's hands means same-day resolution — no queue, no delay.
The pilot proposal
Formalise Bevan's office as the first Nationals WA digital infrastructure pilot. Run it, measure it, document it, replicate it.
- Live website with structured constituent data capture
- Tested, documented pathway into VoterID
- Domain + Meta + offboarding governance model
- Reusable playbook ready for every other MP
- Funded through Bevan's parliamentary budget — no new cost to the party
- A VoterID that updates from every constituent touchpoint
- Shared digital standards — not solved office by office
- Clear asset ownership and offboarding on record
- A tested model before any party-wide rollout
Risk controls
| Risk | Control | Verified by |
|---|---|---|
| Domain confusion | Transfer to nominated account, renewal + emergency contacts documented | Domain SOP |
| Party loses visibility | Retain + document Business Portfolio access with review schedule | Access register |
| Data quality poor | Fields mapped to VoterID case creation requirements — type, category, tags, opt-in | Field map |
| Security gaps | 2FA, named admin accounts, documented offboarding | Audit template |
| MP departure | Offboarding SOP covers redirect, archive and handover — bevaneatts.com.au carries his legal name and is not transferable to the next candidate | Offboarding checklist |
The domain decision unlocks the pilot. The pilot unlocks the playbook. The playbook gives the party a digital infrastructure standard it currently does not have — documented, tested, and ready to replicate.
The three asks
Deliberately narrow — solve the immediate constraint and give the party a cleaner governance model.
The 2024 Candidate Agreement requires Bevan to redirect domain names at the State Director's request. That obligation is preserved — and in practice made more exercisable — when Bevan holds the domain. The domain uses Bevan's legal name and is required for his website, forms, SSL, Meta verification and analytics. The electorate team handles all technical steps and costs.
The party retains appropriate visibility — the change needed is documentation: who has access, at what level, review schedule, and offboarding process.
Christine, Digital Advisor, will produce SOPs for domain ownership, Meta access, VoterID pathway, offboarding and asset continuity — a reusable model for every MP.
What success looks like
Judged by operational improvement, data quality and whether the party ends up with reusable standards.
| Measure | Current | Target | Verified by |
|---|---|---|---|
| VoterID data quality | Manual, incomplete | Structured records from forms and surveys | Sample report |
| Constituent touchpoints | Ad hoc | Website + social + survey tracked | Dashboard |
| DNS turnaround | Multi-day | Same-day | Change log |
| Asset ownership | Informal | Clear ownership register | Asset register |
| Offboarding readiness | None | Reusable SOPs | Checklist |
| Rollout readiness | Each MP separately | Tested template for every MP | Playbook |
The domain decision unlocks the pilot. The pilot unlocks the playbook. The playbook gives the party a digital infrastructure standard it currently does not have.
